The Vogue Business talent competition, now in its third year, aims to champion new voices in the world of fashion and beauty business journalism.
We are looking for aspiring UK-based writers aged 18 and over who are curious and excited about the mechanics of fashion and beauty. Whether it's the latest in fashion consumer trends, a new Web3 case study in luxury or how new sustainability legislation might affect fashion business — Vogue Business wants to hear from you.
Deadline: 12pm (noon) UK time (GMT), 13 February 2023.
The competition is open to all but we strongly encourage participation from:
- People of colour
- Individuals from the LGBTQIA+ community
- Individuals with a mental or physical disability or a long-term limiting illness
- Individuals who are a care leaver or carer
- Individuals who are long-term unemployed
- Individuals from a lower socio-economic background
The winner must be available to complete a four-week remote internship at Vogue Business before September 2023. Entrants should not have been published in a national newspaper or magazine. Entries will be shortlisted by the Vogue Business team and the final selection will be carried out by executive European editor Kirsty McGregor and an external judging panel, to be announced.
We appreciate many of our readers and subscribers are not UK-based; watch this space for future international competitions.
- The winning article published on the Vogue Business site (edited and reworked in collaboration with executive European editor Kirsty McGregor).
- A four-week paid internship at Vogue Business, working with the editorial team. This can be either office-based or remote.

Two runners-up will each receive a six-month mentorship from a member of the Vogue Business team.
